We
know how valuable your time is and when you get the change to sneak away
with your family, you want a fantastic experience. That is why we have
worked so hard to make our Middle Yough trip exceptional. Think of your
raft guide as a family entertainer. Along with their knowledge of the
area, the river, and safety & first aid, they know how to have fun!
The contents of their "family fun bag" will remain a secret
until you are on the water! Our only words of caution: Your kids may want
to return year after year!
GUIDED
MIDDLE YOUGH GUIDED TRIP: Between Confluence and
Ohiopyle lies The Middle Yough,a step milder than the Lower Yough and
appropriate for children as young as 4. This trip is for those who want
to concentrate on fun and leave details (like lunch) to us. Uncertain
about taking the kids on the river? Do so under the watchful eye of our
professional guides. All trips are equipped with emergency equipment and
radio contact with our base.
PEDAL & PADDLE: We make
your vacation easier by combining two of your favorite activities into
a single day. Bike the gentle Youghiogheny River Trail from Ohiopyle to
the Middle Yough launch area. We will meet you there and swap your bikes
for boats. Hop in a boat and paddle your way down the Youghiogheny and
back to Ohiopyle. Stop, swim and eat lunch along the river banks and enjoy
a great day with your family & friends. Choose from rafts or duckies.
This is a non-guided trip. If you are interested in a guide, please call
us for details.
MIDDLE YOUGH RENTALS:
Enjoy the Middle Yough on your own time. Reserve your raft,
shredder or duckie and take it at your own pace. Pack a lunch, bring your
fishing rods or just sit back, float down the river and relax. Have your
own boat already? Call us for shuttle details.
MIDDLE YOUGH FISHING
TRIPS : The Middle Yough is also an excellent fishing
section. Click here to find out more about

This
five to seven mile trip offers the perfect introduction to rafting. Depending
on the water level, we run it using rafts or ducks. Spring generally brings
higher water and therefore rafts are used. Ducks are the craft of choice
during the summer. However, regardless of the craft, the thrill and pleasure
will be the same.
Trip format: Depending on water level the day of the trip, guide
assisted in self-bailing rafts, ducks or ThrillKats.
