Do it yourself! Wilderness Voyageurs rents equipment for the Lower and Middle Youghioghney
. Not sure what equipment you want? Here is a list of what is available
Lower Yough Rentals
Rent equipment for either an 7.5 mile full day trip or a quick trip of the "loop," the first rapid-packed, 1 1/4 miles of the Class III-IV Lower Yough. We highly recommend PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE and a familiarity with this section of river before trying an unguided trip. The river can be dangerous and it is important that you have the necessary skills before taking yourself down the river.
The following steps are necessary for renting equipment:
Reservations are recommended to assure equipment availability. In addition to your payment, a refundable $30 security deposit per boat and a drivers license is required to receive your equipment.
For weekend rentals, reserve your launch permit with the state park prior to making your equipment reservation. Their number is 888-PA PARKS. Please check in at our Outfitter Store 1 1/2 hours prior to your launch time before you run shuttle.
Running Shuttle and purchasing your shuttle tokens: Run shuttle and park your vehicles at Old Mitchell Parking Lot (located 8 miles from Ohiopyle). This is where the State Park shuttle will drop you and your equipment at the end of your river trip. You must purchase your shuttle tokens for $3 from the launch area the day of your trip. Renters are responsible for transporting all equipment back to Ohiopyle. THE SHUTTLE PARK BUS DOES NOT GO TO OHIOPYLE. If you only have 1 vehicle, it is possible to bike the shuttle as well. Bring your own mountain bike with you or rent one from the store. Please check with the park at 888-PA-PARKS for updated shuttle information. If you need directions, we'll provide them when you check in.
Have fun and be safe!

Middle Yough Rentals
Reserve the craft of your choice: raft, duck, sit on top fishing kayak or canoe. Previous river experience is recommended for the canoe - it is more difficult navigating a river than a lake and easy to capsize.
Check in at our outfitter store in Ohiopyle at your designated check in time (ie: 10:00 or 12:00 shuttle time). The shuttle bus departs 1/2 hour after your check in.
Remember to pack a lunch, sunscreen, water, fishing rods or anything else you would like to have with you to enjoy a relaxing Class I-II float down the Middle Yough
