If you are just beginning your kayaking career, this is the place for you! You'll meet your instruction at our outfitter store at 9:30 AM. Here you'll have the chance to change into a wetsuit (provided with your instruction) and ask any initial questions you may have. Your instructor provides a brief explanation of the different boats & equipment available before outfitting your boat to fit you well. Then the fun begins & off to the water you go! In a calm section of the river, you'll start learning the basics. From paddle strokes to boat maneuvering & possibly even the Eskimo Roll for the more adventurous. Our instructors will cater the day to your desires & will not push you beyond your comfort level. It is a fun sport, but your introduction to it can make a world of difference to your paddling career!

Part way through the day, you'll stop for a deli style lunch & then you'll resume from where you left off. Your day ends in the afternoon: you'll be exhausted & satisfied with a new skill!

As with any new sport, the more you practice, the more your skills increase. We recommend our 3 or 5 day program to really benefit & get to a comfort level where you can begin navigating rivers on your own.

So you know how to paddle, but you are ready to hone those skills. Wether its improving your roll, finally getting the boof down, learning to run waterfalls...whatever your quest may be, our instructions are ready to take you to that next level. You'll meet your instructor at our Outfitter store where you'll have the chance to discuss your expectations. If you have your own equipment, you are welcome to use it. Otherwise, you can select from the newest Wavesport, Liquid Logic and Pyranha boats. The section of river chosen for your instruction will depend on your existing skills. Your instructor will have you demonstrate your roll & other basics maneuvers before taking you on the river. You'll leave
