Paddles & Biners Multi-Day Package Camping, Whitewater Rafting & Rock Climbing Ohiopyle PA

Whitewater rafting on the Lower Youghiogheny, a class III whitewater trip appropriate for ages 12 and up. We will tackle this adventure in rafts that hold 4- 6 people. This section of river has 25 rapids and covers 7.5 miles, we will be on the river for 4-5 hours. Lunch is deli buffet style and served about mid-way through the trip.

Following your rafting trip, put on your walking shoes and check out the waterfalls and other sites of Ohiopyle State Park.

Enjoy a scrumptous Buffet Dinner in Ohiopyle at the Wilderness Voyageurs base. You'll be tired, full and ready to return to the campground for a great night sleep.

Day 2 Day 2: Breakfast is served at the Wilderness Voyageurs base in Ohiopyle. You are a hop skip and jump from your check-in and harnesses and helmets.

Today we take to the crags (rocky cliffs) for a bit of personal accomplishment. Our primary climbing location is a short bike ride down the Youghiogheny River Trail, a nearly level "Rails to Trails" project. The day begins with “ground school”; your instructors will verse you in the terminology of climbing and rappelling, knots, equipment usage and belay techniques. THEN, Belay on, and Climb on!

A series of rappels and climbs will be set up to gradually increase the challenge level. We will spend approximately 5 hours at the rocks, this allows for plenty of time to work out those arms, legs and adrenaline glands. Lunch is a deli buffet style eaten at the climb site. Showers and change facilities are available at our base facility to rid you of your sweat and grime. Clean up, and relax under the trees by the river, and head home. Or..Check out more of the local attractions like Fort Necessity,
Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater or The Flight 93 Memorial.
