When deciding what clothes to bring, err on the side of caution. Synthetic or wool clothes are great insulators when wet. Cotton is a no-no anytime the temperature is below 80. We rent wetsuits and windbreakers. The perceived temperature on the water is derived from a combination of air temperature, water temperature, wind chill factor and amount of sun. A cloudy 60 deg. day will feel much colder than a sunny 60 deg. day. Clothing requirements for a 60 deg. day in October are different than a 60 deg. day in April because the water is much cooler in April. Please see the chart below:
Date Air Temperature Clothing
March - April 30 - 40 Bring synthetic or wool socks, tights and shirt to wear with your wetsuit
March - April 50 - 60 Synthetic top with a wetsuit

July - August 80+ shorts
