WHITEWATER RAFTING on the Lower Yough

The Lower Youghiogheny river is a class I-III whitewater adventure! The trip lasts 3-5 hours depending upon water levels. During July the trip is usually on the water 4 -5 hours.
Wilderness Voyageurs provides all rafting equipment, guides, transportation to and from the river, and deli style lunch.

RAFTING on the Middle Yough

Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ohiopyle State Park while floating the Middle Yough. Gentle Class I - II water can be floated on a raft, canoe or duck. This is a guided trip which includes a deli style lunch.

ROCK CLIMBING

Meet at our outfitters store in Ohiopyle at 9:00 a.m.,and soon after depart for one of the various rock climbing locations we use for instruction. Our staff teaches the basics of climbing safety and technique. Numerous rappels and top rope climbs are set up so that a continuous circuit can be established, or the group may choose to concentrate in one activity. Wilderness Voyageurs will provide equipment, transportation, guides and a deli style lunch. All participants should have a pair of snug, comfortable soft soled shoes and wear shorts.

MOUNTAIN BIKING

Meet at our outfitters store in Ohiopyle at 9:00 a.m.. We will size everyone for their bikes and then transport bikes and people to the Sugarloaf Mountain Biking area. A Wilderness Voyageurs guide will lead the group and instruct in the areas of; on trail repairs, riding techniques, and trail etiquette. Wilderness Voyageurs will provide bikes, helmets, transportation, guide and deli style lunch. All riders should provide their own water bottle and bike shorts, these are available for purchase at our outfitters store at a discount.

KAYAKING

Meet at our outfitters store in Ohiopyle at 9:00 a.m.. Everyone will be fitted into their kayaking equipment. The morning will be spent on the Youghiogheny reservoir learning the fundamentals. In the afternoon, class will progress to a moving water site. Approximately 5-6 hours will be spent on the water.

MIDDLE YOUGH DUCKY RENTALS

Meet at our outfitters store in Ohiopyle at 10:00 a.m.. We will transport the group and equipment to the Middle Yough launch area. The average trip time is 4 hours.

Cost: $20.00 per person

CANOE RENTAL

Meet at our outfitters store in Ohiopyle at 10:00 a.m.. We will transport the group and equipment to the Middle Yough launch area. The day is at your own pace. Average time on the river is 4 hours.

Cost: $20 per person*

PEDDLE AND PADDLE

Meet at our outfitters store at 9:00 a.m.. Bike the Youghiogheny river trail from Ohiopyle to Ramcat (9 miles) with a maximum grade of 2%. Our vehicle will meet you at the Ramcat launch area with boats for the paddle back to Ohiopyle. The bike portion takes 2-2 ½ hours to complete and the river section requires 3-5 hours.

Cost: $28 per person* or with a lunch $38 per person
Or upgrade to a canoe or duck for $38 per person, or $48 including a lunch.

BIKE RENTAL

Meet at our outfitters store between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.. Bikes are available for the Yough river trail which has a maximum grade of 2%.
